Modeling-Ed Handy
Established by tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy in 2002, Ed Hardy is a line of clothing that incorporates some of his tattoo art. Recently, the pop-punk culture is getting increasingly prevalent. Essentially, our group is trying to bring out Ed Hardy’s punk and rocker style in the way we model the pair of jeans. The reason for choosing the grey wall as a background for our photo shoot was to draw attention to the pair of jeans donned by the models as the dark blue and white jeans contrasts starkly with and stands out against the grey wall. The smoky effect given off by the wall helps to bring out the angsty juvenile adolescent nature in the models. We also got the models to lean against the grey wall, showing the frustration that teenagers have. The reason for choosing for the models to pose in such a way was to accentuate the model’s jeans make it more eye catching in the photo. The angry expression shown on the models’ face reflects the punk-rock image that Ed Hardy’s logo projects. The logo was also photoshopped onto the wall to represent Ed Hardy. The choice of colour for the model’s shirt was black to bring out the angst and rebellious nature as portrayed in Ed Hardy’s eponymous apparel and accessories, as well as pink which contrasted against the dark blue jeans and hence drew attention to the model’s jeans.
